Andy
Strahan moves to North after 4 years at Grayslake Community High
School where he coached football and baseball. He spent the last
2 years coaching at the varsity level in both sports. He also
spent 2 at Trinity International University as the hitting and
outfield coach. During that time, Andy coached the Gurnee American
Legion during the summers. Andy played at TIU and Aurora University
earning 4 varsity letters. He played his high school ball at
Warren Township High School.
Jon Sawyer enters his second year on the Grayslake
North staff after teaching and coaching at Grayslake Community
High
School
in 2004-2005.
Jon served as the Head Freshman Baseball coach for the Kinghts
in 06'.
Jon was also a varsity assistant coach this past year for the
North Football team. Jon graduated in 2004 from Millikin University.
He was a three year letter winner for the Big Blue baseball team.
He graduated from Dundee-Crown High School.
Kevin Horwitz has begun his third year in the
district, and second at Grayslake North. He played baseball at
Glenbrook South High School and later graduated from both the
University of Wisconsin/Milwaukee and National Louis University.
When Kevin is not coaching he is a Science teacher.
Chris Murphy enters his first year at Grayslake
North. Previously he was a varsity assistant at Roberto Clemente
HS, in Chicago, from 2001-2005. Clemente won back-to-back Public
League City Championships in 02’ and 03’.
